Today, I focus on Quant (QNT).

In terms of market capitalization, QNT is currently at #40 in the cryptocurrency ranking with approximately 1 billion dollars.

That it was a good investment with a professional and successful team, capable of consistently presenting positive news and achievements, is evident.

But what is it that makes QNT unique, and is it still a good investment today? How much further can the price rise?

We start our deep dive with a brief journey into the world of overledger.

Overledger

Overledger is the system invented by Quant Network. The Quant token is not part of a new blockchain but rather a solution in the field of interoperability by securely connecting different blockchains or private networks.

Similar to how this protocol connects the internet, Overledger can connect different blockchains (such as Bitcoin or Ethereum), DAGs (like IOTA), and private networks together.

Due to its integration through APIs into existing computer software, Overledger is also user-friendly.

For those who want to understand the technology behind it in detail, I recommend this multi-part series of articles. However, depending on your blockchain knowledge, you should allocate one to two hours for it.

Usecases and tokenomics

The use cases are diverse and encompass every integration of blockchain into business processes, supply chains, or financial transactions.

A hot topic, of course, are central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). In this regard, Quant is collaborating with the Bank of England.

However, and this is also my current major concern, the projects, companies, or countries that will work with Overledger in the future are still uncertain. There are now also other projects and tokens for interoperability.

Quant's solution is functional and present. However, whether this solution will be adopted or if other blockchain projects will be preferred cannot be accurately assessed at the moment.

In any case, Quant Network has secured multiple achievements through patents and is likely at the forefront of interoperability development, holding the first mover advantage.

And Overledger is already working with Central Banks and Governments and is integrated in important projects like SIAChain, part of the private financial network that is the backbone of the European financial market and connecting all central banks in Europe to the ESMIG.

Quant also works in collaboration with MIT, Intel, Juniper Networks, and major Payment and Telecom companies.

If QNT should therefore become the go-to solution for interoperability, there is likely not much preventing it from reaching a marketcap similar to ADA's during the last bull run and reaching a price of…

The token

To use Overledger, customers need to hold the QNT token, which removes them from the supply. In addition, fixed fiat amounts in QNT are required for ongoing usage.

Regarding the supply, QNT has a fixed supply of 14.6 million QNT and the team holds only a small percentage of tokens compared to most projects.

In terms of tokenomics and demand, QNT continues to look like a highly promising investment, as the supply will decrease the more Overledger is used. At the same time, the demand naturally increases as Overledger sees more usage.

However, the actual price movement, after experiencing a significant initial hype in recent years, now heavily relies on whether the economy indeed adopts Overledger as a solution.

QNT topped a little bit earlier than Bitcoin with an ATH at $428. Since Binance listed QNT during its parabolic rise, I've relied on data from gateio to present the lower levels.

In June 2022, QNT retraced back to the price level before the ATH. This range indeed represents the sweet spot buying opportunity.

For me personally, QNT is permanently on the watchlist. However, I would only make a larger move if there's a retest of the $40 support. As always, this is just my opinion and not financial advice! Please do you own research!
